I’m Leanne and I’m an illustrator/graphic designer based in Vernon, CT. I’m also a mom, wife and pet-parent! I find endless inspiration in my two young daughters, who actively participate in all of my creative endeavors. They are my favorite Art Directors by far!

I’ve worked in the corporate design world for over 20 years, but went to school to study fine art and illustration. Drawing has always been my happy place! I love to incorporate warm color schemes, organic line work, and a joyful dose of whimsy in my illustrations. While I prefer to work in traditional mediums (gouache paint, colored pencil and ink), I also find that certain projects benefit from digital drawing.

My digital work often combines imagery and hand lettering to convey meaningful messaging. My subject matter ranges from humorous and silly, to the importance of acceptance and love.

Since 2022, I’ve written, illustrated and self-published three children’s books: Lily and Aster, Where You’ll Find Me, and Bread and Milk Road. A fourth book (possibly featuring some familiar bunnies) is currently in the works!

My artwork has been displayed in the CWA Annual National Open Juried Exhibit at Arts Center East, as well as published in UPPERCASE magazine’s offspring periodical, Little U, and Jess Goldsmith’s Women of Type book.

I currently work full-time designing at a wonderful non-profit organization that sends free children’s books to kids each month, world-wide! My freelance design/illustration clients include LEGO Systems Inc., and Penguin Random House.
